A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids.

According to the Service's website:

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 7 PM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Michigan.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 7 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The bulk of the snow will fall after daybreak Monday but roads may still be slick for the Monday morning commute. The quick arrival of sub freezing temperatures overnight may lead to icy road conditions developing before daybreak, even if only light accumulations occur by that time.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. Remember that bridges and overpasses freeze up first.
