The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Winter Weather Advisory beginning tomorrow evening. Here's what's going on:

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM WEDNESDAY TO 7 PM EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Isolated 5 inch amounts possible near I-94.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Michigan.

* WHEN...From 7 PM Wednesday to 7 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Occasional light to moderate snow is expected from Wednesday evening into Thursday evening. Snow amounts from I-96 to the south will range from 2 to 4 inches. A boost in northerly winds on Thursday will add some blowing and drifting snow with falling temperatures into the teens. Slippery travel will be the biggest impact.
