Who Won the 2014 Pink Dessert Wars?
Welp, we're stuffed!
After taste-testing multiple decadent desserts from nine different restaurants and bakeries, we finally conclude who is the best of the best at the 2014 Pink Dessert Wars.

This award goes to the best table presentation at the event.

Pioneer Award
This award is presented by Pioneer Sugar to the restaurant/bakery/company that used the most Michigan-made food products in their recipe.

First place (with 57 percent of its recipe from Michigan-made food products): Looking Grand Cafe
People's Choice Dessert Award
The recipient of this award was chosen by the 250-plus attendees of the 2014 Pink Dessert Wars and wins a cash amount for radio advertising.
Third place: The University Club
Second place: Looking Grand Cafe
First place (with nearly a quarter of the 270-plus votes): Whipped Bakery
Judges' Dessert Award
The recipient of this award was determined via a blind taste test from our panel of four judges, who are: Cindy Baswell, of MSU Bakers; Kristi Rupp, of Pioneer Sugar; Ed Grey, regional digital sales manager for Townsquare Media in Lansing, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo; and Beth Cochran-Russell, who won our guest judge contest.
The recipient of this award wins a cash amount for radio advertising.
