Gun violence in the United States alone is completely out of control. There have been countless mass shootings taking place all over this country and nothing is being done about it.

I am so angry about these horrible acts of violence, and so are many other people not only in the U.S., but right here in Michigan.

Over the weekend, there were close to 500 people at the State Capitol in downtown Lansing, protesting against gun violence. Across the United States, there were over 400 protests taking place.

Every morning when I come into the radio station to do my morning show, you would not believe how many senseless shootings are reported in not only the local news, but the national news as well.

One of those stories was about two groups of people exchanging gun fire outside of a liquor store near Kalamazoo. That just happened this past weekend. What's wrong with people? It's just blatant disregard for peoples lives and it has to stop!

Luckily no one was killed at the liquor store brawl, but that could have gone a whole different way.

According to mlive.com:

And while Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies say they recovered about 40 casings from the firefight, no one was reported injured. Three people so far have been arrested.

That's just an example of one of the many stories I have to read every day when I get to work.

More has to be done in our country to stop gun violence and all these senseless mass shootings.

And even if they do change the current age of 18 to 21 as far as being able to purchase certain firearms, do you really think it's going to stop all this craziness?
