A website titled CandyStore.com reviewed 10 years of sales data of candy to determine what is the most popular Halloween candy in each state in America.

The study looked at 10 years of sales data from 2007-2016, they stated that they were looking in particular at the months leading up to Halloween

I must say I was surprised to find out what the favorite Halloween candy, determined by sales, was in Michigan.

It is Candy Corn.

Really Candy Corn, not to take a dig at Candy Corn or the people who enjoy Candy Corn but what about Reese Peanut Butter Cups?

According to the study by CandyStore.com 146,782 pounds of the candy is sold in Michigan each year.  Skittles came in second place with 135,982 pounds sold each year and Starburst came in third with 87,740 pounds sold each year.
