Baby and adult diapers and wipes. We need them and will take them all. CAUW will get you a donation box, come and get your donations, or you can drop your donations off at any LAFCU location in the tri-county area now through June 20th.

June 21st is the longest day of the year and Capital Area United Way is joining United Ways across the nation to spread good will by engaging volunteers for its annual Day of Action through a Community-Wide Diaper Drive!

These essentials (baby and adult diapers and wipes) will meet a desperate need by the most vulnerable residents in our community...babies and the elderly Here’s how you and your team can help:

  1. Host a donation box in your office. If you need one, we can provide it to help us collect tens of thousands of diapers! Thousands of our neighbors are struggling to keep their children and their elderly and disabled relatives clean and comfortable. We will take everything you can give – all sizes, both child and adult. The afternoon of June 21 we will accept your donations at the Nonprofit Center at the Armory (330 Marshall Street, Lansing MI  48912) to accept your donations. Or, if you can’t deliver the diapers, contact Joni Risner from our staff (j.risner@micauw.org) and we’ll come to you.
  2. Drop off diapers at any LAFCU location! All LAFCU locations in the tri-county area will be accepting diaper donations during regular business hours starting May 11 through June 20th.
  3. Text uwdiaper to 41444 to make a monetary donation that will be used to purchase diapers.
