Was That A Presidential Salute?

Two Marines were standing guard at the exit of the presidential helicopter, Marine One, Tuesday.  As President Obama exited the plane, they saluted him.  In response to their salute, he saluted them.  Well, at least it looks like he attempted to.

President Ronald Regan began the tradition of the president saluting military officers in 1981.  Presidents Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush and Obama have all respected this tradition.
