Warning: Major Chocolate Chip Cookie Being Recalled Here in Michigan
The Company D. Coluccio & Sons came out and announced, that they are recalling a certain brand of their chocolate drop, chocolate chip cookies, because of undeclared almonds inside of the cookies.
For those with a nut allergy, this could be harmful, even fatal in some cases.
The Specific Product Being Recalled in Michigan
The current brand being recalled is one very specific. It is the Colussi Chocolate Cantuccini Chocolate Drops. They were distributed all across the United States, and here in Michigan.

The product is in a 3000 gram blue bag. The UPC number on the effected product is 8002590006020.
The lot numbers effected:
- 3540152 BBD 15-01-2025
- L354150 BBD 29-05-2025
You can find the lot numbers on the back of the packages.
There were not any issues related to the initial cause, and nobody has gotten sick due to the mislabeling on the packaging. The recall was found after they noticed that there was a temporary issue in their manufacturing processes.
