WILX.com reports that Verizon Wireless has no plans to compensate Mid-Michigan subscribers that experienced a signal outage Wednesday.

According to the report, the company blames a malfunction with a third-party vendor in the network's communication chain. Apparently, a fiber optic cable was severed, causing a service disruption until just before 6:00 PM Wednesday for subscribers.

WILX found compelling evidence from a tip that led to an issue on North Washington Avenue in Lansing.
