Two MI School Districts Shortening Spring Break Because of Snow Days
Wondering how many other school districts will be doing the same?
NBC 25 News is reporting that the Frankenmuth and Ovid-Elsie school districts will be shortening their spring breaks this year because of the excessive amount of snow days.
As of today, Frankenmuth has used 13 snow days and Ovid-Elsie has used 14. Every school in Michigan is allotted 6 snow days per year; an extra 3 can be requested through a waiver.
The school districts mentioned above will be adding a half-day to Good Friday before spring break, and will eliminate their mid-winter breaks at the end of the month.
Is this a good solution? What do you think?
