Trump’s a Pragmatist?

I read a great opinion piece from a man by the name of Mychal Massie titled "Trump Is Not Conservative, He’s A Pragmatist". I found it a very interesting read and some of his thoughts were very insightful and I would recommend you click on the highlight titled above a read it.

The biggest point he is making is found in the following from his piece:

'I said that I neither view nor do I believe Trump views himself as a conservative. I stated it was my opinion that Trump is a pragmatist. He sees a problem and understands it must be fixed. He doesn’t see the problem as liberal or conservative, he sees it only as a problem. That is a quality that should be admired and applauded, not condemned. But I get ahead of myself."

I have been saying for years that what a business person brings to leadership is a problem solving mentality. I use to help run a business and what we did everyday was identify problems, discuss how to solve them, implement what we agreed upon to address the issue and then go back periodically and see if our solution was working. If it was not working we would either attempt another solution or end the program. I can tell what we would not do and that is keep losing money on it by continuing to fund it.
