Now that Halloween has come and gone, the focus for a lot of people now turns to Thanksgiving. One of the major topics every year for Thanksgiving is which stores will be open for the holiday and which stores have decided that they will be closed that day. This year, according to Black Friday.com, there are many stores throughout Michigan that have decided to keep their doors shut on Thanksgiving to allow their employees to spend time with their loved ones.

Some of the big names on this year's list of stores that will be closed on Thanksgiving include Costco, Sam’s Club, Blain's Farm & Fleet, Menards, Marshalls, Bed Bath & Beyond, Home Depot, Lowe's, Barnes and Noble, Burlington, TJ Maxx, PetSmart, Staples, Office Depot and OfficeMax, IKEA, and Hobby Lobby. Stores continue to be added to the list; you can follow along by clicking here.
