The hottest ticket in DC was shaping up to be a permission slip from Speaker Pelosi to Democrats in swing districts that want to vote no and preserve a chance of winning re-election in 2020. That has all changed however because Democrat Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence, a strong supporter of Kamala Harris who does not represent a swing district says she no longer supports impeachment.

Freshmen Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin of Michigan is one of those precious 33 or so member of Congress representing a district carried by President Donald Trump in 2016. In fact, President Trump carried Michigan’s 8 th Congressional District by about 7 points during his election and Slotkin won the seat by less than 4 points in 2018. So with 2020 looming large Slotkin is among those trying to figure out how to get re-elected with an ever more agitated district

As the debate over impeachment sours, voters are asking why is nothing important getting done. Well because that's all the democrats are focused on.
