Let's take a minute or two and talk about something besides viruses and how to wash your hands properly. According to the National Weather Service, the Lansing area could see some of the first "strong to severe" thunderstorms of the year on Thursday. The National Weather Service says that "in the stronger storms, isolated damaging wind gusts will be possible as well as localized flooding with heavy rain."

According to the NWS forecast, we're expected to see plenty of rain on Thursday. They say that new rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible with even high amounts possible in areas that get the thunderstorms. It's also going to be pretty windy, with wind gusts as high as 31 mph Thursday afternoon into Thursday night. Click here to see the forecast.
