State Park Fees Added To Vehicle Registration

If you're a Michigan driver, you might see a price increase the next time you register a vehicle due to an included state parks passport fee.

Due to some changes with the legislation, you can now expect to see the price of state parks passport automatially added into vehicle registrations.

A state park passport costs $11 for a vehicle, while it is $6 for motorcycles when you renew your license plate.

If you purchase a passport at a state park instead of at registration, an additional $5 will be added as a convenience fee.

If you did not want this pass on your car, you would have to elect to waive the fee, according to WILX.
