Well many years ago when I was 11 years old my brother who was a freshmen at the University of Michigan took me to a football game there. Michigan won 35-0 over Wisconsin. I was pretty much a Michigan fan after that.

My parents both graduated from MSU and most of my friends were Spartan fans but I hung on and for most of the years- I was the one with the most to cheer for. Those days ended a long time ago. For the past many years MSU has been getting the best of the Blue.

This year it looked like Michigan would finally get it done and was leading with :10 seconds to go… just punt the ball that was all that had to happen. Instead one of the most disastrous plays in college football history. The Spartans picked up a fumble by the punter and raced into the end zone on the last play of the game.

It will be up there with Kordell Stewart and Appalachian State and despite Jim Harbaugh’s return to coach- this is a hard one to take.

I think I’ll go back to ignoring sports for the most part- honestly I think for the most part I’ve got better things to do.

Congratulations to Coach Dantonio and the Spartans for the big win- and for reminding me of why I don’t waste my time with such things. Hand me the remote.
