Some Progresso Soup Is Recalled
I have written I don't know how many articles about food recalls over the years. More than I can possibly remember or even count.
And not to sound like a person that doesn't care, but I always kind of let out a sigh of relief when I first see that it's a product that me or my family doesn't eat or use. Now mind you like I said, I certainly don't want anyone or their family or friends to be harmed in any way, either. That's why we write about these recalls in the first place but you always feel like you've ducked one when the recall doesn't affect you.
Well all of that was until lately. The last couple of brand recalls I've written about have revolved around products that I have, or had used. Like this one. Gulp!
According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service, Progresso Organic Chicken Noodle Soup is being recalled. The soups are in 14 ounce cans, and you can further identify if your soup is being recalled by checking the bottom of the can and see a “BestByMAY262022” date. You will also find a "09JUN2022" best by date printed on the case the product is in.
The reason for the soup recall by it's manufacturer Faribault Foods Inc.? Misbranding and undeclared allergens. This product was shipped all across the nation and the recall is not a small one. It involves around 15,134 pounds of the canned soup.
