Executive Order Shuts Down Michigan Casinos
UPDATE: Per Governor Whitmer's executive order, all casinos in Michigan that are licensed by the Michigan Gaming Control Board, will close today and will remain closed until Monday, March 30th at 11:59 p.m. Click here to see the executive order.
**The following was posted Monday morning before the executive order was issued by Governor Whitmer: In an effort to control the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) some casinos throughout the state of Michigan have decided to close their doors until further notice. Officials with Firekeepers Casino in Battle Creek announced on their Facebook page that would be closing. The closure went into effect earlier this morning. Gun Lake Casino in Wayland, Michigan also announced a voluntary short-term closure of their casino, which also went into effect earlier this morning.
