Last year sure was profitable for G.M., Chrysler and Ford. Cars and trucks sold well so that means hefty profit sharing checks. About 130,000 hourly workers qualify. They'll divvy up about 800 million dollars. The "Detroit News" is reporting about half of the Big Three's hourly work force is in Michigan. A few years ago when sales were off there were no profit sharing checks for anyone. However analysts say with the way things have been going lately those days seem like a distant memory.
