Should Michigan Increase Minimum Wage?

President Barack Obama spoke on Labor Day about increasing the minimum wage.  He said

You'll hear opponents, they'll say well, minimum wage, they're going to kill jobs.  Except it turns out, the states where the minimum wage has gone up this year had higher job growth than the states that didn't raise the minimum wage.  That's the facts.

He also went on to say,

There is no denying a simple truth: America deserves a raise.  Folks are doing very well on Wall Street.  They're doing very well in the corporate boardrooms.  Give America a raise.
