I interviewed former State of Michigan Representative and Senator Jack Wellborn.   Mr. Welborn was first elected to the State House in 1972 and then to the Senate in 1974.  He ran unsuccessfully for governor in 1982 then won his Senate seat back in 1985.  He retired in 1994.

I asked Mr. Welborn, who was one of the first staunch Conservatives during his years in office about the state of Conservatism  and politics today.
