This recall doesn't necessarily apply to store bought patties, so if you have any frozen beef patties in the fridge for this holiday season, you still should be safe. It never hurts to check though, just to be sure.

Over 16 thousand pounds of it are being recalled due to plastic being found in it, but it wasn’t sold in retail stores. Rather, this product was distributed in schools and institutions.

This recall only applies to AdvancePierre Foods (owned by Tyson Foods) ready-to-eat beef patties, according to WILX.

This recall was put into place due to a food-service establishment complaining about finding green plastic in the patties.

No injuries or illnesses have been reported because of the patties.

If you do happen to have the patties, you should either throw them away, or return them to where they were purchased.
