The price of bacon is greatly on the rise due to a virus that is killing baby pigs and Michigan Farmers are very worried.

It is important to note that the virus does not infect humans.

The virus is called porcine epidemic diarrhea and the scientist believe it came from China.  To date it has spread to 27 states including Michigan.  Prices are up 10 percent or more

A pound of bacon has increased an average of 13 percent or more according to the U.S. Bureau of  Labor Statistics.
