Officials Warn Jackson Area: Don’t Go in Clark Lake

This a no contact and no swim warning that was just established Thursday afternoon. According to WILX, Columbia Township officials say that about 4,000 gallons of raw sewage has spilled into Clark Lake in Jackson County. Columbia Township officials have advised people living in the area to not swim or boat or kayak in the lake.

WILX has more on it, but officials in the area have said that the spill happened in the Q Lane area at the site of new construction near the lake. There also may have been an accident as someone might have drilled into the sewage line causing the spill. Authorities are still going through the situation.
