WLNS.com is reporting that Lark was reappointed by the full board Tuesday, to continue his 5 year year contract that pays him over $300,000 in a salary and deferred compensation package

Lark came under fire for his response to the ice storm last December that left thousands of residents in the dark--some for up to two weeks.

He took responsibiltiy but did not offer to resign.  His reappointment is seen as a vote of confidence that improvements at the BWL are being made.  His salary did not change.

While Lark has lost no money, some customers of the utility may not be so lucky.

The commissioners have also set a public hearing for September 19th to consider a hike in electric rates that average out to about 5%.
