Renk’s Thoughts On Trump’s Victory
America has won a great victory today, Americans have won a great victory, the constitution has won a great victory, the rule of law has won a great victory and we the people have won a great victory today.
Donald Trump spoke to us the forgotten people or as he put it in his victory speech:
The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer
We heard him and many chose to believe him. The messenger was flawed but the message was not.
What a victory for a person who was up against just about everybody in the entire world. The establishment wing of the political parties, all of the media, all the pundits, all the pollsters and prognosticators, all of the Democrat party most of the Republican Party, all of the financial world most of the Hollywood and music crowd and he won.
He won because fortunately more people than not decided it was time for a change.
It is time to try a different path to bring security and jobs back to America
He won because he tapped into our discontent with the state of the nation, specifically the Washington’s refusal to solve pressing issues such as immigration, economic opportunity in which most of the middle and lower classes were left out of and an ever growing blob we call the federal government. A government that wanted to stick its dirty nose into all of our business. A government that was becoming too intrusive into our family unit.
He won because the establishment on both sides of the political aisle failed the American people and they were and are sick and tired of the elitist people in DC looking down on them and telling them they knew better.
Now the Democrat Party can no longer consider most of America, fly-over country.
This is the American people saying enough is enough, we have had it. So let’s see what this guy can do.
Now it is time for us as Americans to come together or as President Elect Donald Trump said in his victory speech:
It is time. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all of Americans, and this is so important to me. For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I'm reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great country. As I've said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement, made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their family.
It is not the time for some of us to gloat, we saw that in the Democrat Party after President Obama won both of his Presidential campaigns and all that did was further divide our country.
It is time to come together to heal the wounds that have been created over the last eight years and start working on solving these problems as Americans, not Republicans or Democrats.
We must demand from President Elect of the United States Donald Trump and all elected officials in Congress that we Americans want a united country, a country that knocks down the obstacles to economic progress and prosperity.
Will President Elect of the United States Donald Trump, a businessman who has done very well in this country be able to deliver that with the help of the Congress?
We shall see.
