If you're a parent, this is going to make your blood boil. Especially if you're the parent of a little girl.

Your kid is your kid. No one touches your kid. No one touches a hair on your kids head. Literally and figuratively.

I know of parents that have had near meltdowns with one another over a kids haircut or hairstyle.

Could you imagine if you sent your kid to school with hair and they come back with a lot of it chopped off? And when you asked them who did it, they tell you the teacher did. And when you try to find out from the teacher why, you can't get any answers.

That's the story out of Mt. Pleasant with Jimmy Hoffmeyer and his 7-year old daughter.

Hoffmeyer said his daughter got three haircuts that week -- one from another student, one from an actual hairstylist and a third one from her teacher. The last one sent her home in tears and her father demanding answers. (WILX)

The story is a comedy of errors culminating with a teacher cutting a student's hair and sending her back home embarrassed.

“After that teacher cut her hair, she was so embarrassed. So embarrassed. Because she had to go back to class like that,” Hoffmeyer said. (WILX)

Dad said he got an apology. But (according to him) as to the why and exactly what happened, the school is not saying anything.

How mad would you be if you sent your kid to school with hair and they came back with it chopped off? You didn't give permission for a haircut, you didn't send your child to school for a haircut, and when you try to get to the bottom of the story the school is pretty much not saying anything.

There's going to be a school board meeting Monday and hopefully there will be some answers and closure after that.
