MLive.com is reporting that Michigan State Football staff member Curtis Blackwell has been suspended with pay, but MSU officials will not comment any further than confirming his status.

Blackwell's role with the team is described as director of college advancement and performance. That means, he is a key recruiting component and mentor to football student-athletes.

Blackwell's suspension comes as MSU Police continue a criminal investigation of an alleged sexual assault. As was reported last Thursday, three unnamed MSU football players and an unnamed football staff member involved with the investigation were suspended from team activities, and have been removed from on-campus housing.
