MillerKnoll CEO Issues Apology After Being Blasted Online
Well well well.
Here we are.
After the CEO of the global office furniture company, MillerKnoll, went viral for the comments that she made about her employees receiving bonuses as officially apologized.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, let me quickly explain what happened.
In a 1-minute and 20-second video, Andi Owen's brief outburst was caught on tape since it seems as though the company was on a video call.
Andi Owen addressed her staff in a not-so-pleasant way.
"Don't ask about 'What are we going to do if we don't get a bonus?' Get the d*** $26 million. Spend your time and your effort thinking about the $26 mullion we need, ad not thinking about what you're going to do if you don't get a bonus, alright?"
Owens wraps up her scolding session by sharing some advice she received from her previous employer.
"I had an old boss who said to me one time, 'You can visit pity city, but you can't live there.' So people, leave pity city. Let's get it done."

What was the apology?
According to MLive, Andi Owen emailed all of her staff an apology after her comments went viral, bringing unwanted local and national attention.
In the email, she states that she "feels terrible" about what she said.
"I want to be transparent and empathetic, and as I continue to reflect on this instance, I feel terrible that my rallying cry seemed insensitive. What I'd hoped would energize the team to meet a challenge we've met many times before landed in a way that I did not intend and for that I am sorry."
She continues in her email, expressing her appreciation and gratitude to all of her employees.
"Nothing will lessen the power and strength of our collective team. My appreciation for each of you is huge and I will continue to do everything I can to help us meet our shared goals. Thank you for your hard work, your grace, and for the commitment you show to one another and our company every single day."
With all of this being said, I am still wondering whether the employees will be receiving bonuses this year.
Is it just me that wants to know this?
