A 14-year-old boy has passed away after falling asleep in a cornfield in Michigan and being run over by a corn harvester, according to WILX.

Emergency responders were called at roughly 9 AM on Saturday to a rural cornfield near  Huron County. The boy lived in Elkton, a nearby City of Caseville where the incident happened.

The boy had been dropped off earlier in the morning for deer hunting and might have fallen asleep, the sheriff's office reported. The farmworker wasn't aware anyone was in the field.
