Michiganders are no stranger to a delicious craft beer.

In fact, we have over 350 breweries within the state. And heck, we even have Grand Rapids, which is perfectly nicknamed Beer City U.S.A.

So it's no surprise that we have a great many beer festivals all year long, especially in the summer. Because what's better than sipping a cold one on a hot summer day?

Michigan Beer Festivals

What I love about beer festivals nowadays is that it's not just beer. Yes, that is often the main focus. However, a great many beer festivals bring in a variety of adult beverages for people to enjoy. So maybe your friends dragged you to their favorite beer festival and you're not big on beer? That's okay because there are likely wine, mead, cider, hard seltzers, and sometimes even mixed cocktails for you to enjoy.

Or maybe you're there as the designated driver? Not only will you pay less for your ticket (or sometimes even get in for free), but there are usually all kinds of yummy food vendors there too. One beer festival I had the pleasure of attending had a vendor that was serving up root beer as a non-alcoholic option, and it was hands down the best root beer I've ever had.

So whether you're a fan of IPAs, stouts, ales, hefeweizen, or something else entirely, you're sure to find something that strikes your fancy at any beer festival in Michigan.
