WILX.com reports that Michigan State Police troopers will be out in extra force Sunday for St. Patrick's Day.

Operation C.A.R.E. (Crash Awareness and Reduction Efforts) will go into effect at 12:00 AM Sunday morning until 11:59 PM. Troopers from Michigan and Indiana will be putting extra emphasis on potential drunk drivers on one of the biggest party days of the year.

Aggressive driving, impaired driving, and seat belt usage are the keys of emphasis in the mission of the agencies that have been cooperating in the effort since 1977.
