As we've said before, there is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to places to go in the great State of Michigan.  Put aside the fact that Michigan golf is the 3rd most active in the country behind Florida and California.  It's very well know how much tourism is tied to our great outdoors so it would be no surprise to find out that we've got one of the best places to hike in the nation as well.

According to the trip ideas in the travel section of msn.com, The Empire Bluff Trail located in Sleeping Bear Dunes is one of the most spectacular hikes in the U.S.  It's just West of Travers City and part of The Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore.  This 1.5 miles trek has gotten nothing but rave reviews and is no walk in the park.  In fact, it's a bit of a challenge but described as well worth it at the end.  Check out more about our gem and the other sites in America by clicking HERE.
