Michigan Expanding Coronavirus Testing To All Essential Workers
Michigan is stepping up Coronavirus testing efforts, and will now include all essential workers, even if they are not showing symptoms.
According to Michigan's Chief Medical Executive, tests will be available for all healthcare workers, first responders, grocery store workers, utility workers, and anyone else deemed essential.
If you have questions about who is an essential worker, you can find that on the Michigan Coronavirus information site here. The site will also help you find testing locations and resources in your area.
Another major step that Michigan is taking in the battle against Coronavirus is contact tracing. Michigan will start contacting people who may have been in contact with an infected person in an effort to slow the spread even more. Gov Whitmer asked that people be more willing to answer the phone for a number they don't recognize, because it could be a call pertaining to contact tracing.
