A new line of two wheel electric vehicles will be built in Ann Arbor. The company doing the work is the Mahindra Group based in India. In addition, in Oakland County, the company will locate its north american technical center.

Company officials say Michigan is an ideal spot to set up operations. They cite the state's wide range of manufacturing and automotive talent.

These vehicles are made primarily for those who live in larger more congested areas who'd like to have another alternative when they have to go somewhere. These will also be marketed to college students who go to school on larger campuses.

The Mahindra Group has just unveiled its latest electric vehicle called the GenZe.
