We think you're going to like this. Michigan and the city of Detroit have some of the best, safest drivers in the country, based on a study of insurance data.

According to the Detroit Free Press and Quotewizard.com. Detroit is typically one of the best driving cities. This is based on a study of insurance rates across the country.

Here's the best part of all the research, "Michigan and Detroit consistently rate high. As we all know, Michigan has some of the highest auto insurance rates in the country, which could skew the results slightly, due to uninsured drivers, but it's still legitimate to say Michigan has some of the better drivers." According to 2020 data, the five Michigan cities with the best drivers include Lansing, Grand Rapids, Jackson, Holland, and Kalamazoo.

Quotewizard ranked Michigan's 25 largest cities in order of the number of driving incidents per driver.

"Driving incidents included speeding, DUI, accidents and other moving violations like running a light or using a handheld phone. The survey was based on insurance quotes for 175,000 drivers in Michigan." (Detroit Free Press)

The five Michigan cities with the worst drivers in 2020 were Roseville, Flint, Saginaw, Pontiac, and Taylor.
