Michigan DNR Says on Facebook Campfires Are OK

We have an enclosed fire pit at our house. Recently, my wife and I had a back and forth on whether or not we could have a camp fire.

My wife said "No they are not issuing burn permits because they want to keep the firefighters ready to help out with the COVID-19 situation."

Well, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources said on their Facebook page, It's ok for you to have a campfire, domestic warming fire or a cooking fire. Just keep an eye on it's while it's burning and douse it out when you are done.

Looks like we will have some S'mores tonight!
