WLNS reports

Governor Gretchen Whitmer says “Our rollout continues to pick up steam and we will not rest until we reach our goal of equitably vaccinating 70% of Michiganders ages 16 and up. Michigan continues to make significant strides – administering four million vaccines in less than four months – as we work to ensure every Michigander has access to the vaccine. In line with President Biden’s goals, all Michiganders 16 and up will be eligible to receive the vaccine starting April 5. We will emerge from this pandemic stronger than ever and celebrate Independence Day together with friends and family. We will become the state that beat this damn virus.”

Michigan based Meijer is a partner of the Federal Retail Pharmacy program which will effectively receive and administer doses of the vaccine in Midwest states it operates in, including Michigan. Meijer plans to administer 150,000 doses this week with clinics held at each of its stores, including off site clinics.
WXYZ reports

This week Meijer plans to conduct more than 950 clinics in it’s stores throughout the midwest. Meijer also supports FEMA at the mass vaccination clinics currently going on at Ford Field. It’s very easy to register for an appointment at Meijer for the Covid-19 vaccine, simply text COVID to 75049, you will then receive a link to register for your appointment. As the stores receive the vaccines registered customers will be notified for a date to receive the vaccine.
