The hard snow began to fall around the 9th or 10th of November last year as I remember. It ended sometime in early May.

This past winter we experienced the 3rd coldest in American history and in Michigan we got to enjoy it more than most. Our snowfall totals set records in many cities in a variety of categories.

Well looking back at other cold winters I remember or the National Weather Service can chart from years ago… it seems that really cold winters come in clusters of three and four in a row. So having said that I am now telling you to get ready.

The forecast for the weekend is calling for snow pretty much everywhere in the state. In some areas just snow mixed with rain but the farther north you go in the state the more likely there will be snow sticking on the ground.

Bundle up kids- after a short cool summer here comes the wicked north wind once again.
