Lansing’s Elm Street To Close For Utility Work
WILX.com reports that one of the two major routes to REO Town wlll be closed for about nine weeks beginning Friday.
Lansing Board of Water and Light crews will have to close Elm Street between Washington Avenue and Townsend street to install a new steam main to the utility's steam plant in REO Town.
Not only will the street be closed to vehicular traffic, sidewalks will also be closed, and pedestrians will be detoured as well. This will mainly affect traffic in and out of General Motors' Lansing Grand River Plant.
The closure is expected to conclude on May 9. For more details, visit this link to WILX.com.
