WILX.com reports that a public hearing regarding the future of the Lansing City Market will be held this evening.

City officials, including Lansing Mayor Andy Schor, will be on hand tonight from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the city market. The idea of a potential sale of the market by the city to a developer have been floated in recent weeks.

In order for a potential sale to happen, voters would have to approve it at the ballots this fall. But, not before Lansing's Planning and Parks Boards give their okays to Lansing City Council for approval.
