Paramedics responded to an emergency call and were threatened by a Lansing man with a sword.

According to Lansing police paramedics answered a call at around 1 a.m. Tuesday to treat a man who was having a seizure.  Once they arrived another man threatened them with the weapon.  They were able to get out of the situation safely, and they did have their patient with them.

Once police were on the scene 31 year-old Michael D. King Jr. was arrested.  While they were in the process of arresting the man, 30 year-old Tommy L. King threatened the police with the same sword. He was also arrested.

Both men were arraigned on Tuesday on weapons charges.  They will return Friday for pre-exam conferences in district court.  It is not known if either currently have representation.
