I've never been hungry.

By the Grace of God, I have never been hungry.

Really hungry. Yeah, I've said "I'm hungry" or "I'm starving", but I've never ever been really hungry or starving. So I might be able to say those words, but I have been extremely fortunate to have never, ever felt those words.

That is certainly not the case for others, who may have never said those words but deal with hunger as a way of life every day. And to think that may have been bad before the COVID-19 pandemic, for some it has probably gotten a lot worse. It could be hunger brought about because the people who were the providers in their family are no longer employed and more. The needs during our current reality have certainly been expanded and accelerated. That's why I'm always glad to see there's people and organizations out there who are doing something to help people who are not able to afford food and to be able to feed themselves and their families.

According to News 10, a mobile food pantry will be held by the City of Lansing next month. It will be happening on Saturday, June 20th. The plan is for vehicles to begin lining up to get registered at 7 a.m. and then the registrants will recieve food from 9 until 11 a.m.
