Klavon's Pizzeria and Pub is helping their employees out after Governor Whitmer's decision to close restaurants and bars off from being able to dine in.

The restaurant already is known for hosting their "employee appreciation" nights where all tips go to employees for one night, now all take-out tips will be going to their employees who are not allowed to work at the moment.

Klavon's is also matching every dollar from each tip, as mentioned in their Facebook post yesterday.

The restaurant has take-out specials as well, even breaking them down by how many people each will feed.

Both Mason and Vandercook Lake (Jackson) locations will be participating.

While restaurants and businesses all over the state are doing what they can to help out their employees and their communities, it is also up to us to support them in this time.

Check with your favorite restaurants to see if they are still offering take-out or see if you can purchase gift cards to use at a later date.

Now is a time where everyone across the endless array of professions is working harder and helping out as much as they can and it is absolutely appreciated.

Businesses like Klavon's and others trying to help their employees show there is still good in this situation and shows the importance of leaning on each other (figuratively, of course) in times of turmoil.

As Fred Rogers said, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."
