There are going to be concerts, rides, grandstand events, and so much more all this week at the Jackson County Fair. First, here is some quick information: the fair starts with a preview day on Sunday, Aug. 4 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 10. It's located at Jackson County Fairgrounds/Keeley Park (200 W. Ganson St.) Parking is $5.

Now is where things get a little confusing. The price to get in is $5 for adults, $2 for children age 6 to 10 and free for kids younger than 6. However, there are a few exceptions such as: Sunday - $3 for adults, $1 for children. Monday - seniors 65 and older get in free. Tuesday - $2 for everybody. Thursday and Friday - veterans get in free. Saturday - kids 10 and younger are free.

This fair is different from previous years as all of the rides will be in one area on the new midway. Wristbands cost $25 (available Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). Rides are $2 on Tuesday and $1 on Saturday.

The acts and concerts to check out this year are bigger than ever. Here are all of the acts they are bringing in: Monday - Jeff Dunham returns to the fair at 6 p.m. Tickets to the show start at $28. Tuesday -  Boyz II Men, Color Me Badd and All-4-One. Tickets start at $44. Wednesday - Foreigner and Styx, few tickets remain but they start at $25. Thursday - "The Voice Competition," which will be taking place not at the Grandstand but at the Keeley Stage. Friday - Twisted P Rodeo. Saturday is the demolition derby, tickets for both Friday and Saturday are $10, or $15 for box seats.
