New FDA Egg Recall

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a recall for a certain brand of eggs that are being sold in Michigan.

Why?

These eggs are connected to a Salmonella outbreak that has already affected dozens of people.

The eggs in question are from Milo's Poultry Farms in Wisconsin. You will see them as either "Milo's Poultry Farms" or "Tony's Fresh Market."

Salmonella "can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems," according to the FDA.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shared that there are at least 65 cases connected to this outbreak across nine states, including Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

As of publication date, 24 people have been hospitalized due to the salmonella outbreak.

What Should You Do If You Have The Eggs?

If you have purchased these recalled eggs, the FDA is urging you not to consume them and throw them away or get a refund immediately.
