Teens Steal $1 Million in High-End Jeeps From Warren Assembly Plant
About 10 high-end Jeep Wagoneers have been boosted from the Warren Stamping Plant and authorities say the thieves are all under the age of 18.
Have you ever looked at the price of a new Jeep Grand Wagoner? I have, not because I'll ever be in the market for one, but because I'm a Jeep fan. (They don't give these babies away.) The high-priced, luxury Jeeps are worth close to $1 million.
How Were These Vehicles Stolen?
Police in Warren tell WJBK-TV that someone in a Dodge Ram crashed through the fence outside the Warren assembly plant around 3 AM Monday (7/22).

John Gajewski is a lieutenant with the Warren Police Department.
"You wonder what kids are doing out at that hour in the morning," Gajewski said. "You wonder where they should be and what they should be doing."
He went on to say that only two of the 10 stolen vehicles have been recovered.
Car Thefts May be Tied to Other Crimes
Gajewski says his department is investigating, but unsure at this time if the teens were working independently or tied to a bigger crime ring in the area.
"You know many times, we do find during investigations that suspects who are involved in thefts of motor vehicles oftentimes are involved in other crimes," he said. "Whether it is additional theft, business break-ins or robberies so that nexus is definitely something we’re investigating."
If you have any information (or if you see someone suspicious driving a brand new Jeep Wagoneer) you're asked to call Warren police at 586.574.4700.
