For outdoor winter enthusiasts, Michigan didn't have much to offer this year; it was one of the mildest and, in some cases, the warmest winters on record. Does this mean we can expect an exceptionally warm spring with summer-like temperatures? Don't hold your breath.

For many years, Michiganders have turned to the Farmers' Almanac for predictions on the state's weather. However, if there's one thing that is hard to predict, it's Michigan's wild weather patterns.

If the Farmers' Almanac is correct in its prediction this year, we're in for a not-so-warm spring.

Spring 2024 Forecast Prediction From Farmers' Almanac

One thing to remember about the Farmers' Almanac weather predictions is that they tend to be quite vague. You can expect conditions to be wet, dry, warm, or cold.

According to the Farmers' Almanac, overall, we'll see a cool and stormy season for most places in the United States.

Here's a specific look at their Easter weekend prediction for Thursday, March 28-Sunday, March 31:

The prediction covers a specific region including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

Heavy Midwest storm sweeps east-northeast, produces snow to the north, heavy showers, and thunderstorms to the south.

The Farmers’ Almanac long-range weather forecast calls for many days of cold temperatures, with some possible late snow through much of April over the Northeast, Great Lakes, and North Central regions of the country.

Not many changes in May as they predicted we'll experience weather on the cool side with active storms.

I don't put a lot of faith in Farmers' Almanac weather predictions. While I think they have a 50/50 chance of being correct, it's fun to see what they have to say and whether it becomes reality.
