Most Michigan residents are baffled about why we continue to recognize Daylight Saving time in the Great Lakes State. Year after year there is talk of eliminating DTS, yet here we are, preparing to 'spring forward'.

We cannot be the only ones looking forward to the time change. When we turn the clocks back every year in November, it always takes a while to get used to. Most of us are ready for bed at 5:00 PM because it is so dark.

When does Michigan spring forward in 2024?

Michigan will spring forward on Sunday, March 10th, 2024 at 2:00 AM.

Sure we lose an hour, but the fact that it will be light outside longer is well worth it. It also means spring is right around the corner.

When is the first day of spring in 2024?

The first day of spring is Tuesday, March 19th, 2024.
