Every state has its own urban legends, and Michigan is no different. There's a Corn Monster in Winn, Michigan and there's also a Hatchet Man Road in Kalamazoo, Michigan. But have you heard of the Mothman of Michigan?

Let’s dive into one of the spookier urban legends that’ll send shivers right down your spine: the Mothman.

It all started with some seriously creepy sightings in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, back in the late 1960s. But guess what? This winged weirdo hasn’t stayed confined to West Virginia.

The Michigan Mothman

Apparently Mothman’s been making his rounds near Lake Michigan and in the states that surround it. Enter the crew from Small Town Monsters. These folks document 'unusual events throughout America'. So they're all about chasing the strange, so naturally, they had to check out reports of Mothman sightings that happened in Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois in 2017.

The result? A full-on documentary where they talk to people who swear they saw something—and let’s just say, it’s not the kind of creature you want to bump into on a dark night.

So, what exactly is everyone seeing? A bizarre animal? A bird on steroids? Or is it something darker, something... sinister?

Since then, though, things have been pretty quiet on the Mothman front. But, that just means that he's gotten better at hiding since then.
